Terms of Service

1. The Service

GMBoard is a toolset for tabletop RPG game masters that lets you plan scenarios, manage NPCs and investigators, structure narrative, and control atmosphere with audio. Features and availability may change over time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use the Service.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and Merchant of Record

Paid plans are sold through our payment provider and Merchant of Record ("MoR"), which acts as the reseller of the subscription. This means:

• • Your purchase contract for payment is concluded with the MoR, which handles billing, applicable taxes (VAT/sales tax), invoicing, refunds, and chargebacks.
• • Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen billing period until cancelled.
• • You can cancel at any time from within your account or the MoR's customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
• • Current prices are shown on the Service and may change; changes apply to future billing periods, with notice where required by law.

4. Refunds and cancellation

  30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with a paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase.

  Renewals are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where the Service was materially unavailable. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before your renewal date.

  EU/UK consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting to use the Service immediately after purchase, you acknowledge you may lose this right once use begins. This does not affect the 30-day guarantee above.

  How to request: email support@gmboard.com with the email used for purchase and your order/receipt number. Refunds are processed by the MoR to your original payment method.

  We may decline a refund in cases of fraud, abuse of this policy, or breach of these Terms. This does not affect your mandatory statutory rights.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• • use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of third-party rights;
• • upload content that is illegal, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use;
• • attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service;
• • resell or sublicense the Service except as expressly permitted.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the scenarios, NPCs, notes, and other materials you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for Your Content and for keeping your own backups.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, and branding, is owned by GMBoard or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you.

8. Third-party content and audio

The Service may include or allow use of audio and other assets. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with any applicable third-party licenses and with these Terms.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GMBoard will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.

13. Complaints

If you have a complaint, contact us at support@gmboard.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 3 business days and resolve them within a reasonable time. Billing complaints may also be raised with the Merchant of Record named on your receipt.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
