About Us

GMBoard is a web tool for tabletop RPG game masters, built for managing scenes, atmosphere, and pacing during sessions.

This is not another VTT platform or combat simulator. It is a tool that helps the master remain at the center of the story and keep the game under control.

Why this project was born

During a game, the master has to work with notes, switch music, open NPC sheets, manage scene tension, and track the session pace all at the same time. Constantly switching between tabs and files distracts attention and disrupts the session's flow.

GMBoard was created to reduce this chaos. Our goal is to simplify game management and let you focus on what matters most: telling the story.

Who is this service for

The service is suitable for game masters of various tabletop systems: Call of Cthulhu, Delta Green, Dungeons & Dragons, and many other narrative-driven games.

It will be especially useful for those who value atmosphere, suspense, pacing control, and live storytelling rather than tactical maps and complex combat interfaces.

How we are different

GMBoard does not focus on combat mechanics or maps. Its core is the scene.

Each scene is a distinct block of story with linked background audio, NPCs, and sound effects. Switching between scenes is fast and intuitive, with no extra steps.

“A scene is a managed emotion.”

Our approach

We believe that the story is more important than mechanics, atmosphere is more important than visual effects, and simplicity is more important than feature bloat.

Project development

The project is actively developing. New features are added gradually, preserving the core principles — simplicity, speed, and control over the game's atmosphere.

Feedback

We are open to ideas, suggestions, and feedback from game masters. If you have thoughts on improving the service or want to share your experience, contact us via the Contacts.
